out of stride
As easy as it seems
to keep up and in touch I believe
as time goes by life’s priorities
complicate

It’s easier said than done
to keep up and in touch with everyone
without losing track does anyone
feel the same way

it’s easiest to say
you’ve lost track of yet another day
I sense that life’s somehow in the way
complicating

victims of routine
until we rise and fill these spaces in between

looking back remembering when
the days would seem to never end
looking back wondering why
another year has slipped on by
all this time beneath the sun
losing track of everyone
