Hey Kids. We had a

Hey Kids. We had a great weekend on the road. Friday night was Hamilton, New York where Colgate University is located. The club we played in was called the Palace Theater and it was one of the coolest places that we have played yet. Finally a music venue built for music. You knew it was going to be a fun night when we pulled up to the club and there was this ad for supergush with a picture of Rick next to it. No one else from the band was in the picture, it just said supergush and showed a picture of Rick next to it. We are going to change our name to The Rick Borczuk Experience because of it. ROAD LESSON # 546 = Don't feed Joe anything labeled " Beef Jerkey smothered in Hot Sauce" if you have to spend long car rides with him. Trust me on this one.
....Saturday we were down in Ithaca at O'Leary's once again. We had fun as usual with John and the gang. We kept Joe off of the "hot beef diet" and the van ride went a lot smoother. ....
Tonight we find out about the final round of the KROCKATHON band search. If we make it to the final round we will find out tonight and we will have to play tomorrow night. Short notice, I know. Kind of stinks but what can you do. Either way I will let you know the status.

Monday night we played the

Monday night we played the second round of the Krockathon band search. It was a long night loading in at 7 and then waiting to play at 11:30. The show was a quick one (1/2 hour). It was cool to see some of the other bands from CNY that we have not seen before. If we make it to the final round we will be playing next Tuesday out at Bleacher's, I'll let you know what happens. Ter and Chris Cox have completed the mixing for the live CD and it sounds awesome. We're really happy with the way it turned out. Those of you who who are familiar with a lot of the newer and older songs will be happy with the CD. We send it off to our friend Heather Scott now who is probably one of the longest running supergush employees. She created the design and artwork for both confusion among the masses and gush. Hopefully we should have everything completed and shipped to print by the end of next week. From there it's a 4-6 week waiting game...............We have also started work on some of the newer songs for the next CD. I'm really happy with the ideas we are working on and the good thing is that bewteen Ter and I, we have a lot of works in progress that sound promising. Hopefully over the next month or so some of them will make their way into the sets as we round them off and polish them up. Look for "last day of summer" as the next song out and about. Pet the dog and do the dishes for me. See you soon.

Calling all die hard supergush

Calling all die hard supergush fans... If you don't already know it, we're in a contest to be the opening band at this years k-rockathon. The contest started off with 48 bands total and we have advanced to the next round where there are 16 bands left. Our next show is coming up on monday night may 13th at Bleachers in liverpool. We will be playing with three other bands doing about a half hour set each. What time do we go on??? No one knows till they show up that night. Somewhere between 8-12. A good portion of the judging comes from crowd participation. Not only do we need people there when we play but also at the end of that nights shows the judges announce each band again and gauge crowd support at that time. I know, I know.... It's a monday night for god's sake. If you can make it we would sure love to have you there. Last time we played I think it was a monday and we were fortunate enough to have some of you guys pull through for us. Now at this stage we really could use all the help we can get. For those of you who think they can go the distance monday night we'll have a free copy of the live c.d. with your name on it... The c.d. should be ready for distribution in just a few more weeks. Anyways, I hope to see all of you this monday the 13th. Thank you all for your ongoing support of supergush and we always remember that "If we played our music in the forest and there was no one there to hear it... than we truly never had made a sound..."

Hi again everybody! We played

Hi again everybody! We played last night at Mikey's and everyone there is very appreciative. It's nice to make it out to places that appreciate the music. Anyhow we have been finalizing the live cd and I know we have been talking about it non-stop but it really is coming out very soon. Chris and I will have the glass master in our hands this week. He and I have put a lot of time into the mixing and all I have to say is that I just want to play the guitar for now on! The cd will be set to print and sent out this week for reproduction. Friday we played at the Finger Lakes Community College..very cold but a lot of fun as well. Good hamburgers. We also had Mark Henry's Bachelor Party on Friday night. All I have to say is that our friends do not look good through the light of a campfire naked. More details upon request.
